The warmer weather has many folks thinking about returning to nature and in Northern Kentucky, that's no exception. The Fishing in Neighborhoods program is stocking 44 lakes across Kentucky with catfish, including four in Campbell, Kenton and Boone Counties.
Here's what lakes in Northern Kentucky were stocked with catfish this month:
- Alexandria Community Park Lake in Campbell County
- Camp Ernst Lake in Boone County
- Middleton Mills Long Pond in Kenton County
- Middleton Mills Shelterhouse Pond in Kenton County
Several other lakes in Northern Kentucky that are not included above will be stocked with catfish in April, May and June.
KDNR is encouraging everyone to have fun and make it a family trip. They also want to remind people to get their 2021 fishing license before they head out.
Wildlife officials said the catfish stocking schedule for the next few months could change based on weather and hatchery conditions and transportation demands
