Zoie Barth Named to All-American Team

The women's basketball coaches association released their ten players who were named as All-Americans on Monday, March 22; on that list was sophomore guard Zoie Barth (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands). The Player of the Year and the 10-member Coaches' All-America team in each division are selected by a committee of WBCA member coaches in that division.
 
Barth currently sits 23rd in the NAIA in total steals with 64, and 37th in total assists with 91. She leads the number one team in the nation in points per game (13.29) , assists per game (3.35), and steals per game (2.29). Barth won a Mid-South Conference Player of the Week Award on December 30 after scoring 22 in an overtime win at Shawnee State as well as being named to the Academic All-Conference team.
 
Barth has helped lead the Saints to a 28-1 record and a number one overall seed in the NAIA National Tournament. 

Zoie was coached by Jamie Walz-Richey at Highlands. She was All-District and All-Region as a first-year. and as a sophomore she was named District MVP and 1st Team All-Region. As a junior she was 1st Team All-Region and District MVP. In her senior year she was a Miss Kentucky Basketball nominee, Player of the Year, 1st Team All-Region, and reached 2,000 career points. She finished her career at Highlands second all-time in points.

Up until this point Barth has averaged 14 points per game throughout the National Tournament with games still to be played as Thomas More plays Morningside (Iowa) today, March 22, 2021, in the NAIA Fab Four at 7 p.m. ET.
