Campbell County residents: here's where you can get rid of your junk this weekend

Campbell County residents can get rid of old junk at three Campbell County locations
Yesterday was Earth Day and April continues to be Earth Month, so be reminded that the Campbell County Clean-Up Event will be held tomorrow, Friday, April 23, and Saturday, April 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 


This event allows you to get rid of your old junk, electronics, appliances, etc. free of charge.

Due to social distancing guidelines, participants will need to unload their own vehicles with no assistance from county employees this year. These three drop-off locations are listed below as well as a list of items that will not be accepted at these locations.

NOT ACCEPTED: paint, liquids, hazardous waste, dirt/concrete/rocks, gas cylinders with valve intact, propane tanks that are not 20 lbs.

Frederick's Landing (KY-9 Hwy, Wilder)
Pendery Park (4051 Mary Ingles Hwy, Melbourne)

Accepted Items: furniture, mattresses, trash/debris, yard waste. 

Location:
Campbell County Transportation Center (1175 Racetrack Road, Alexandria)

Accepted Items: appliances (freon ok), batteries, electronics (limit 1 TV), furniture, mattresses, propane tanks (20 lb only), scrap metal, tires (limit 8; rims ok), trash/debris, yard waste
