The Fort Thomas Recreation Department will host a community celebration over the July Fourth weekend to showcase new facilities and welcome residents back to summer fun.

"We are excited to finally be welcoming people back into the park through these events. Our hope is that everyone will take advantage of the opportunities to utilize the new facilities," said Recreation Coordinator Kat Disney.

The celebration starts on Thursday, July 1, coinciding with the start of sand volleyball season. Check out the new sand volleyball court at various times throughout that evening.

On the evening of Friday, July 2, the department will host a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on the new basketball courts in Tower Park, and on the morning of Saturday, July 3, will be the Ted Englehard Tennis Tournament at the tennis courts there.

Learn more about pickleball on Sunday, July 4, with a pickleball clinic starting at 8 a.m. in the tennis court in Tower Park.

You can register for any of the activities using a form on the Fort Thomas city website under the Recreation Department tab or call 859-781-1700 for more information.
