This year's parade: The Roaring '20s Again

Co-organizer Linda Slone shared several great photos from the parade. She said it felt great to have the traditional celebration again and they already have some ideas for 2022.

"Jim Trauth and I were thankful that the city was willing to have the parade this year! And the weather even cooperated," said Slone. "There were more people watching the parade than I have ever seen in all my years watching the parade, being in the parade and then codirecting it! So many people, lots and lots of children and so much fun! So much candy, too. We were just so happy to see so many enjoying the parade this year!"

Slone said she was thrilled to have Bob and Joanne Arnzen as Grand Marshals this year, as well as  honorees: Ken Himes, Chief Hunter Pinney, Father Ruschman and Carson Tibbs.

The parade, she said, runs on volunteer power. "Jim and I could not even begin to codirect this parade every year if it was not for all the volunteers that help us each year. The bigger the parade gets, the more volunteers we need!"

She also gave a special shout out thank you to Fort Thomas Police Department who helped with both the parade and the race.
