By Jessie Eden

The Lash Room, 660 Highland Avenue, is hosting an Open House this Saturday, July 17, to celebrate a new addition to its services - Medspa - which will focus on Botox services.

The event will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., complete with cocktails and appetizers from Cobblestone as well as a special promotion; just $8 per unit of Botox. Attendees will also have a chance to enter a raffle for one free set of lash extensions.

Fort Thomas native, Morgan Ball, will be the Medspa's Medical Director and service provider. Morgan is a Nurse Practitioner who has an existing Medspa which will merge with The Lash Room.

"Going forward we will be offering dermal fillers, Chemical peels, microneedling, Dermaplaning. Adding a Medspa seemed like the perfect addition to The Lash Room not only because of my previous experience in the medical esthetics world, but also it just makes sense in the space," said owner Kasey Swing, "The Lash Room has a light, bright, upbeat feel to it and the next space over boasts a moody, calm, relaxing environment. Making it the perfect one stop shop for all things beauty."

Botox and Beyond

Botox is known for its use for horizontal forehead lines, vertical lines between brows or "11s" and crow's feet. It gently relaxes the muscles that make those lines, resulting in smoother skin while still having movement.

Botox can be used as a preventative measure or to soften already existing lines and wrinkles...but Kasey says you shouldn't confuse it with filler. "Botox and filler are often confused. Filler is a hyaluronic acid product that is typically injected into the middle and lower parts of the face to bring volume to those areas that are lacking it such as cheekbones, lips, or marionette lines. Filler lasts anywhere from 6 months to 1 year."

Botox will be offered at the Open House...but if you can't get the procedure done at the party, you can still take advantage of the promotion for another day! "For those of you who cannot receive Botox at the party, you may prepay for another day and receive the same discount of $8/unit (regularly $13/unit)," said Kasey. "Typically this procedure takes not longer than 30 minutes and lasts 3-4 months."
