The Purple People Bridge is scheduled to reopen Friday, Nov. 19, with a private ribbon cutting featuring local elected officials and donors planned at 5 pm.
The bridge was closed in May after a large stone fell from the first pier out of the Ohio River with access temporarily blocked for public safety concerns.
The bridge is owned by the Newport Southbank Bridge Company and programmed by Newport-based Southbank Partners.
