Wilder Doctor Recognized as Kentucky’s 2021 Chiropractor of the Year

Performance Chiropractic in Wilder is celebrating a very special state-wide recognition. 

Dr. Hannegan has been named the 2021 Kentucky Chiropractor of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors. (KAC)
Chiropractor of the Year is the KAC’s most prestigious annual award recognizing a member who has gone above and beyond to give back to the Chiropractic profession. The Kentucky Association of Chiropractors is the oldest and largest Chiropractic Organization in the state of Kentucky.

“Dr. Hannegan exemplifies what it means to be a leader in the chiropractic profession,” said Dr. Jeff Meyers, President of the KAC. “His commitment to helping patients and his district is what makes him the perfect person to be awarded The KAC’s Chiropractor of the Year.”

Since 2017, Dr. Hannegan has served as the District 5 Director for the KAC Board of Directors.

About Dr. Hannegan

Dr. Hannegan graduated from Logan University with a Doctorate in Chiropractic and a Masters in Sports Science and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Hannegan is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®), which promotes the highest standards of excellence and clinical competence for chiropractors specializing in sports medicine and physical fitness. He works with all levels of athletes from high school to professional and started working with the Cincinnati Cyclones professional hockey team in 2017 as their team chiropractor. In that environment, he is able to maximize the players’ sports performance and help them get back on the ice as fast as possible from injuries using chiropractic and dry needling. He can be found at nearly every home game working with the players before, during, and after the game.

Dr. Hannegan also has his Applied Clinical Nutrition (ACN) certification. This provides Dr. Hannegan with the expertise to develop a functional nutritional plan, carefully designed for unique body needs by using natural whole foods, whole food supplements, and select herbs giving the body what it needs to promote self-healing and rebuilding, providing a balance of the whole individual.

Dr. Hannegan has operated his private practice, Performance Chiropractic, for the past 10 years. He resides in Wilder, KY with his wife Christy and two boys Ashby and Austen.
