Help Needed by Dec. 17 for Brighton Center’s Annual Holiday Drive

There is still time to help spread holiday cheer through Brighton Center’s Annual Holiday Drive. This year, Brighton Center expects to provide holiday meals and gifts to over 600 families, including over 1,400 children.

The holidays can be stressful for many families under the best of circumstances. Over the last two years, during the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have seen the need for our support services increase, and our annual Holiday Drive is no exception. With the holiday nearing, there are still wishes that need to be filled, with the greatest need for teenage gifts such as arts and crafts, wireless headphones, cologne or perfume, and body care sets to name a few.

Gifts can be dropped off Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Brighton Center 799 Ann St. Newport, KY 41071. To ensure all families who have requested assistance this holiday season receive their gifts before the holiday, please drop off items by Friday, December 17. If you need to arrange for a drop-off outside of those days or times or have further questions, please email holidaydrive@brightoncenter.com.

Beginning with Thanksgiving and running through December 24, Brighton Center provides families enrolled in programming assistance with a holiday food basket and toys for children to lighten the stress this time of year. “We believe no family should have to decide between putting food on the table, making a rent or utility payment, or providing a special holiday experience for their children. Holiday assistance allows families to continue working on their goals related to achieving long-term self-sufficiency,” said President & CEO Wonda Winkler.

You can help ensure all children in Northern Kentucky have a wonderful holiday because of your generosity. For a list of requested items, please visit http://bit.ly/BCWishList20. Thank you for helping to make the holidays memorable for a child!
