NKU dominates Alice Lloyd College, 91-55, behind six double-figure scorers

#LINKAthlete Sam Vinson led all scorers with 17 points and went 4-of-7 (57%) behind the arc. The freshman added five rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Northern Kentucky's men's basketball team overpowered Alice Lloyd, 91-55, Sunday at BB&T Arena and improved to 4-5 (0-2 Horizon League).

NKU shattered a school record for attempted 3-pointers in the victory. The team converted 17 of its 45 shots beyond the arc, supplanting the prior program record of 39 perimeter attempts (against Kentucky State in 1998 and Shawnee State in 1999).

The Norse's 27 assists were the second-most in program history. NKU set a Division I record with 33 assists in a 97-65 victory over Detroit Mercy on Feb. 7, 2019.

The Norse scored a season-most 35 points off turnovers.

Sam Vinson led all scorers with 17 points and went 4-of-7 (57%) behind the arc. The freshman added five rebounds, five assists and four steals.

Hubertas Pivorius piled on all 15 of his points after halftime. He tied a season high with five made 3-pointers and converted 63% of his attempts from long range.

Trevon Faulkner, Adrian Nelson, and David Böhm scored 10 points each while Bryson Langdon dished out a season-best eight assists.

Nelson chipped in 10 points on a perfect shooting day (4-for-4) and added five rebounds.
NKU mounted a furious start, scored nine straight points, and never relinquished the lead. Nelson started the surge with a pair of free-throws and Warrick followed with a triple and two layups.

Nelson's demonstrative slam dunk at the 16:20 mark came on the heels of an Alice Lloyd turnover. Langdon's fourth assist facilitated the jam.

Faulkner parlayed a hot hand into a long 3-pointer at the 7:55 mark. Warrick's assist paved the way the Norse's 29-19 lead.

NKU extended its first-half cushion to as many as 18 points.

Warrick found an open Vinson for a 3-pointer that punctuated the first half. The Norse took a 45-27 advantage into the break.

The Norse buried three 3-pointers in short order to amplify the lead. Vinson swished two threes and Faulkner drained another for a 54-29 edge.

Jake Evans, David Böhm and Pivorius augmented NKU's scoring advantage in the second half. Pivorius swished all five of his 3-pointers after halftime.

NKU shared the wealth in the box score, with Isaiah Mason adding three steals and Evans adding four assists. The Norse led by as many as 41 points.

The crowd chanted David Wassler's name well before he entered the game - and he responded with his first points this season. The walk-on beat the shot clock with a 3-pointer with 1:12 remaining.

NKU's bench outscored Alice Lloyd's 40-26 throughout.
The Norse play at Eastern Kentucky on Sunday, Dec. 18. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. and the game will be aired on ESPN+ and FoxSports1360.
